Keeps the iPod manually operational PIE now offers the “POD2” series of iPod interfaces
that charges at 5 volts to allow a wider variety of iPod & iPhone models and control
possibilities depending on the control features of the OEM radio and your preference.
POD2” line of interfaces retains the iPod screen and controls as well as basic
operation through the CD Changer or steering wheel controls of the ford radio (i.e.
play/pause, trackup/down, fast forward/rewind).With one simple connection, you will
get the digital sound quality in your audio system and 5 volt charging for your iPod or iPhone.
Works with Pod:
The FRDR/PC-POD2 will charge the ipod and will not disable the functions of the ipod while
connected. The FRDR/PC-POD2 will automatically pause the ipod when you switch to radio or tape
How it works:
vehicles have a connection in the trunk for a CD changer option. This adapter connects at that CD changer connection
and allows the radio to recognize the iPod like a CD changer. This is no FM transmitter! Directly connecting your iPod is
the only way to get that digital quality sound that you desire. (*Some vehicles have CD Changer connection in glovebox
or armrest). All of the necessary cables are included, just plug it in and you are set to go.
Vehicle Application:
use with the following ford vehicle equipped with the JBL/LUX audio systems
