The PIE FRDW-AUX Auxiliary Input Converter connects to the CD changer data port of your factory radio to create an external auxiliary input that has a pair of left and right RCA audio inputs. With this converter installed, you can connect any external audio device that has an audio output directly to your factory radio without using an FM modulator and hear the audio from your factory sound system.
If your cd chanager is defective or want to unplug it this interface will plug into the same cd changer plug and send audio to the factory radio
IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTES:
If the factory CD Changer is present, you will need to disconnect it from the factory harness.
NOT compatible with MOST FORD-made vehicles equipped with the 6-Disc in-dash headunit and/or factory navigation system.
