The PIE FRDW-AUX Auxiliary Input Converter connects to the CD changer data cable of your factory radio to create an external auxiliary input that has a pair of left and right RCA audio inputs. With this converter installed, you can connect any external audio device that has an audio output directly to your factory audio system and it will let you hear the the m,usix from the portable device good for ipod, satellite radio gps phones with music and pandora or any mp3 player
If your cd changer is defective or want to unplug it, this interface will plug into the same cd changer plug
IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTES:
If the factory CD Changer is present, you will need to disconnect it from the factory harness.
NOT compatible with MOST FORD-made vehicles equipped with the 6-Disc in-dash headunit and/or factory navigation system.

1995 to 2002 all ford vehicles with a cd changer cable in the trunk or center console
that are prewire for a cd changer or if you are removing the cd changer square 12 pin plug in center console or trunk
